Final pictures for light project

both buildings reflect each other by the light rays. Although the reflection of the right building not very obvous,  the windows of the building on the right look in the different size also can represent the reflection, which some light rays reflect to the windows in vertial way, so that those light rays reture back (reflect) in the same way.

the reflection in the building is very obvious. when drawing a horizonal line in the photo, it will creats triangles, which makes the picture become balance. Also, the bending reflection of the building is the same physical phenomenon as the first photo that I have explained.

This photo is a turning point of the series of photos; it connects two photos before and two pictures after. The reason is that the building on the left have beautiful reflecion in it and the right building have windows have reflection of two other building. It means we can see fourbuildings in this picture(ignore buildings in the middle). Therefore, the photo indicates how the light change the way we see(appreicte) the buildings.

the photo continues the picture above, as the building has windows. the photo above is the building on the right has windows. the reflection of this building looks like a painting. however, I feel the image in the building is horrible, becasue some figures in the photo looks like ghost. I think the green reflection colour match the colour of the building (yellow)very well.

I like the reflection in the building, because I like the colour of blue. The colour of blue matches the colour of white by chance. I like this coincidence, thus I capture the moment. The reflecion in the building  on the left looks like a curtain. Finally, the building on the right has no reflection, but it seems back to the first photo(the buildings have glass windows), which can be an conclusion of the whole series.


[the concept of light project is the light rays have reflection on the buildings and how the light changes the way we see the building. When the light rays reflect the windows of the buildings casuing two physical phenomenon; reflecion and refraction. Hence, with the help of my tutor, I choose five photos.The reasons that I select the concept is that I found this physical phenomenon (reflection) I only learnt the theory before, but I can involve in the actual life; and the "decroation" of reflection for the builings is very interesting and beautiful. ]

 This photo is two buildings have shadows on each other. The reflecion is very obvious on the left building. Although the reflecion on the right of the building not very clear, the light alters the look of the windows in the left building, which the size of windows are different in the photo. In fact, the size of those windows are the same.

I like the structure of the photo, because I think it is banlance. Besides, the reflecion in the photo is quite evident, which the shadow of the building looks strange for the size changed by light.

 

 There are two kind of buildings in the photo, one building has no glass window;  the other has glass windows. Both of buildings have reflection.



this picture looks speical in this series, because no reflecion in the building. however, the structure of the building looks balance and also logical in the photo.



The photo is vertical originally, but I want to make it place in horizonal line. The reason is that the picture set in horizonal will demonstrate the concept absolutely and makes the photo looks like painting.

I am focus on howlight changes the way we see the object.
The light also changes the size of the object, which can be seen in the reflection.

my concept is how light shapes the new views in the reflecion of buildings.

This photo that I think can present the reflection completely. The reason is that the shadow of this building reflects in the front building and at the same time the front building also has shadow in this building. It means the building have shadow in itself. It is a very interesting phenomenon.



 I  like the photo, because the reflection of other building in this building looks obvious, which can emphasise the reflection of the project very well.
Also, I select an idea from mathematics is the triangle. You can see from the bottom until the top when you draw horizonal line in the picture.

 I prefer this photo because not only the reflection is obvious but also the light inside the building which express the reflection in  a building not a drawing or post.

 I accepted the advice of tutor and took the photo again which only focus on the strong reflection on the part of the building.
I found that the reflecion of other building in this building is not very clear, especially the left part of the building.
I realise that I should concentrate on the reflection of the building not the original building.

the reflection on the right hand side of the building looks obvous, but not on the left. I am still thinking about whether I will choose the photo for this project.

I took all these photos at around 12 o'clock, so the reflecion in some buildings are not very clear.

I take pictures again of building, because I think some photos that I want to choose not good enough.

 actually, the reflection on this photo is not clear to prove the concept, if I choose to take about reflection. I need to retake the scene in the photo.

 the photo only have reflection on one building. I need to think about how this can match other photos, because this scene looks mystic.

 The photo can represent reflection very well.

 the tone of the photo seems happy, but taken in low angle. I do not know. the bright colour in buildings play an important role in the vivid atmosphere of the photo. However, it does not match the second photo.

 I like the photo so much. first, I like the colour of blue. second, I like the reflection in the building not very obvious[I just like this feeling, that is also why women like to wear a bit transparent stocking]. Also, we can see the light inside the building. It means the reflection is fantastic. I do not know how to explain again.

In this series, I have two photos which can illustrate how light changes the [size] look of an object.  Two pictures about buildings reflect in other buildings, which reflash the look of other buildings. [because we can see not only windows, but also reflection of buildings]  There are two photos are totally abstract, for the reflection is unclear.

The reflect in the building is not clear, so the photo only put in abstract photos' category. I do not know why the photo looks better than the photos that are complete glass windows. It really difficult to take photos from those special glass.

I chose the photo, because two buildings have shadows in each other.

I like the reflection in the building. It looks beautiful.

The building looks very tall, but the relection on the top the building not obvious enough.

The reflection of other building is very clear.

It is difficult to take photos from the glass (the window), because the light reflect in the windows affect by two factors, the temperature and distance between lens and the object. That is why change the apeature become very important. when I looked at the photos again, I found that some of the photos are blur, it means those pictures are useless.

Also, the strong light reflect in the windows affects the photos, which makes some part of the pictures overexposure. Another reason that to choose a suitable aperature are significant.

Finally, the angle to take photos is influence by the light.  In the forth shoot, I took photos in the early morning around half past ten, [the sun not very strang] which the pictures not very  good. I took photos again after three in the afternoon, which some photos looks better, but the angle of light become lower, so some pictures does not have the shadow of other building or only have shadow of in half part of the building.

Perhaps I took many photos this time. Sometimes I lost myself while taking pictures, becaue it is easy for me to ignore others or things around me when I concentrate on doing something.

I found that I like to capture different kinds of scenrey with camera when I do not need to writing essays or review lessons or I do not feel well.  Also, I would like to walk around and take photos, for it is a way to relax.

I learnt a lot in this course. Now, I know how to reseach pictures from other photographers and learn from the way they take photos. I learn how to present my work, though I am still nervous about presentation. I found that I watch many famous works of art and painting before, but I do not know what is abstraction until study this project. I think one thing that I am still learning is that I should know how to choose photos that I have taken.

A result comes to me at the end of the second project, which is I cannot take any 100 level courses and I need to stop taking any courses out of  Humanities and Social Sciences Faculity in next year. The reason is that I need to take all 200 level and 300 level media studies courses if I want to get a degree of bachelor of art.

However, my mum promise me to give me her bridge camera that I can use here next year, so that I do not have to borrow my friends' bridge camera.
